Care Guide
Upholstered Products:
Swiftly address spills by blotting them with a clean, absorbent cloth. Use a water-free stain remover for spot cleaning. For persistent or set stains, enlist the services of a professional upholstery cleaning service (Cleaning Code Reference: S). Avoid leaving spills unattended and refrain from using abrasive cleaners. Note that slight fading may occur in direct sunlight, and professional upholstery cleaning is recommended.
Stone Products:
Clean stone surfaces with water using a cloth or sponge, exercising extreme delicacy. Stone is porous and can absorb liquids, potentially leading to stains. Poliform surfaces are treated with a special anti-stain and anti-oil product; however, spills of wine, coffee, lemon, vinegar, and other aggressive agents must be promptly wiped up. Maintain surfaces with regular treatment using neutral products specifically designed for the marble finish (glossy or polished). Avoid abrasive or aggressive products, acidic detergents, bleach, abrasive paper, or steel wool. Light fixtures should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth only, without using polishing agents or harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
Lacquered Products:
While our lacquer boasts a durable finish, it is susceptible to chips, scratches, and wear. Regularly dust with a clean, soft cloth to prevent buildup. For general cleaning, use a soft dry cloth only, avoiding polishing agents, harsh chemicals, or abrasive cleaners that could harm the finish. Shield your furniture from moisture and scratches by employing coasters and steer clear of harsh chemicals to preserve the finish.
Wood Products:
To maintain wood products, wipe them clean with a soft, dry cloth. Safeguard your furniture from both moisture and scratches by employing coasters. Steer clear of harsh chemicals, as they have the potential to damage the finish. This routine care will contribute to the longevity of your furniture.
Electrical Products:
When dealing with items featuring electrical components, always switch off the electricity supply before cleaning.
Rug Care Guidelines:
To keep your rug in great condition, we recommend regular vacuuming to remove dirt and grime. Depending on the traffic in your space, vacuuming once or twice a month is sufficient. Excessive vacuuming can wear down the fibers and knots more quickly. If your vacuum has a suction attachment, use that instead of a rotary brush to protect the rug’s fibers. Every few months, flip your rug over and vacuum the back to remove any grit from the foundation. Additionally, rotating your rug once a year ensures even wear over time. We recommend having your rug professionally hand-washed every 3-5 years. Avoid steam or dry cleaning, as these methods can damage the rug. Hand-washing involves using a pH-balanced shampoo applied with a soft-bristled brush, followed by thorough rinsing. This process should be repeated several times for the best results.
- For Organic, Non-Oily Spills (e.g., wine): Blot the spill with a paper towel or cloth. Sparingly add clean water to dilute the stain, blotting until the stain is removed. Avoid scrubbing, as it can damage the wool fibers and push the stain deeper. For stubborn stains, try a mild detergent like diluted dish soap, using the same blot-and-rinse method.
- For Oily or Dense Spills: Scoop up as much of the spill as possible with a spoon or heavy paper, then use the blot-and-rinse method. If the spill is large, non-organic, or chemical-based, or if initial cleaning efforts fail, have the rug professionally hand-washed as soon as possible.
- For Rugs with Deep, Saturated Colors: Spot-clean in an area where you can rinse thoroughly, as some color bleeding may occur.
Will It Fit?
At Home on Center, we understand that finding the perfect piece of furniture is only part of the journey. Ensuring that it fits comfortably in your space is just as important. Follow our simple guide to make sure your new furniture will arrive and settle into your home with ease.
Step 1: Measure Your Space
Before placing your order, map out the area where your new piece will go. Using painter’s tape or newspaper, outline the dimensions of the furniture on the floor. This will help you visualize how the piece will sit in your room. You can find the exact dimensions of our pieces under the ‘Product Details’ section on each product page.
Tip: Be sure to leave enough space around your furniture for comfort and flow. For example, having room to walk around a sofa or tuck a side table next to it will help your room feel balanced and spacious.
Step 2: Measure Entry Points
Furniture needs to travel through your home to reach its destination. To avoid any delivery-day surprises, measure the doorways, hallways, staircases, and any other passageways that your furniture must go through.
Doorways: Measure the height and width of your doorways at their narrowest point. The height and depth of your furniture should be smaller than these measurements to ensure a smooth entry.
Hallways: Measure the height, width, and depth of your hallways at their tightest spots. Consider any architectural details or permanent fixtures like lights or heating units that may interfere with moving large items.
Stairwells: If your new piece needs to go up or down stairs, check the width of your stairwell and the height of any landings or turns. Make sure to account for handrails, bannisters, and lighting fixtures when planning your path.
On delivery day, ensure the route to your room is clear of obstacles and fragile items. Our team will handle your piece with care, but it’s essential to have a clear path for your furniture to travel through your home.

Every once in a while I see something and KNOW it has to be mine; so it was with this lamp.
Gorgeous, substantial, sexy, organic, all the things that make something unique and artistic. The marbled base has a hint of purple in it, which I love. Had a little wait, but so worth it. Excellent customer service, too!!
I wasn’t sure about the combo at first, but it’s gorgeous in person. The quality is amazing.
The marble base keeps it stable, but it’s not so heavy that it’s hard to move. Love the design.
The wicker shade gives off the prettiest warm light. Perfect for my living room.
The quality is so good for the price. It feels super high-end but didn’t break the bank.
